Blindness

„Do you want me to tell you what I think, Yes, do, I don't think we did go blind,

I think we are blind, Blind but seeing, Blind people who can see, but do not see.“
«Blindness» José Saramago

A viscous state of uncertainty and panic, fear turning into animal and becoming aggression - all this I felt reading Saramago's novel Blindness, all this I feel and see since the end of February. Working with psychology perception, it was the observation of the reaction of people in the events that gave impetus to the creation of this project.
Blindness is not only a physiological condition, it is also an emotional and psychological state of society, which is increasingly submerged in violence and hatred. Leaving only the memory and theory of the concepts of humanism and humanity.
Saramago's blindness is filled with symbols, signs and metaphors - referring to the cultural and humanistic components of us. But the work is also filled with physiological perversions, dirt, suffering and pain. All of these metaphorical and physiological images I tried to combine in my project.
